Saturday was another day for the books as the Memorial Old Abes Cross Country Team, boys and girls, swept the D1 Sectional meet in Onalaska to send them to the WIAA State Championships this Saturday in Wisconsin Rapids.

Having clinched the Big Rivers Conference, they were on a feverish pace to solidify their seasons hard work heading into that afternoon's competition.

Division 3 held charm also as Lady Ramblers clinched the number 1 spot along with Colfax coming in number 2. McDonell will represent the boys division and the Chippewa Valley by toing the line this Saturday.

The Chippewa Valley has no shortage of individuals either.
